Preparing for new beginnings

So, a dear friend is expecting her first bundle of joy and she’s been patiently waiting for her new little one to enter this world.
I love that she’s been keeping us all informed of her journey, especially since she’s at 41 weeks now. She’s been sending updates via e-mail and I look forward to every one of them.
I’ve always admired her for her tenacious spirit and down to earth persona. I know Ry has known her far longer than I have, but I’ve always relished and appreciated the time I’ve ever been able to spend with her.
So her last post really just made me a bit gushy and tear ducts welled up. SO I have to share,
“Our anniversary was yesterday. We had made absolutely no plans as we had thought we would be taking care of a newborn, so we were able to go out to a nice dinner, together, alone. This last week has been very special for Dennis and I (I’m speaking for him at this point, under the assumption that he is enjoying the same feelings!) Dennis has been home a lot with me lately, and we have been able to enjoy some very peaceful, quiet bonding time together. It has been really nice, and I feel so close to my wonderful husband right now. I think we both know that this will be the last of quiet alone time for quite a while time, and so we are getting as much out of it as possible.”
I don’t know why but that just got to me. I wish miss “dino” as she has been called, all the best in this journey and truly appreciate being able to live vicariously through her and see this entire experience.
Thanks A. and she will let you know when she’s ready to meet you both and the timing will be perfect.
