Yesterday was a monumental, memorable, meaningful and magnificent day.

Yesterday, I received the actual MBA diploma. I almost feel like it’s been just a whirlwind experience and classes are now simply a distant memory. 6-12 page papers once due weekly are now a distant memory. 400 pages of reading per week, now a distant memory. Compromising one weekend a month is now a thing of the past. Wow!

There has been so much in between the time of the final last day of class, the final presentation and today. The journey from the 1st day of class to now seems like a blink on the scale of life’s events. While I feel I endured a different kind of journey from my cohorts there were times I was close to hanging up the towel. I’m glad I didn’t. I almost feel unemployment had it’s blessings and advantages. I’m here now!

The recognition that I have the strength and fortitude to power on, has attributed more to this milestone than anything.Plus the encouragement of Ry. That helped more than tremendously. Thank you Ry.
It was really neat to see some of my cohort at the ceremony also receiving their diploma. It had been since 1999 that I had been to a graduation. I could have chosen not to bother with the graduation and not bother walking, but this is significant. It really is a testament to strong will and discipline.

I remember seeing resume’s with MBA on them and immediately feeling inferior or intimidated by them when really they are no better than me even before my MBA. They simply had the same drive, support and dedication that existed in me, in them as well.

So as it is official, I’d like t send my thank you to my friends and family for their support. I just know I couldn’t have made it through without you. PHEW!
