As natural as slipping on a new pair of heels….

I have found myself in my element in my new job. It’s not just a job, it’s a career move and I can see a strong future here, I can feel it.
It’s like I’ve found the perfect heels, the kind that are more fashionable than fit; but with the first slide in, my feet felt like they belonged in those heals. Most importantly they look fantastic on me. They are a bit tight, of course, so a little discomfort only reminds me of their newness, but in time they will fit as naturally and comfortably as my fair weathered boots and before I know it, my feet will breathe easy and confidently.
The first day welcomed me with open arms and a straightforward itinerary for the first week accompanied by an events calendar plan for the rest of ‘08. Oh yes, I’m already scheduled to go to Utah, Seattle, Las Vegas..possibly Texas ( unfortunately I won’t be able to go to Aspen or Napa this year :(, but that’s okay, I can go next year!)
So jumping in with both feet and landing steadily on those heels reminds me of why the wait to find a career was as it was.
Now I just need to get through getting used to the new schedule, riding mass transit again and finishing up school.
