So, I FINALLY purchased my very own sweet flat panel monitor. What was I thinking in not purchasing this upon the beginning of the MBA program last year?
It makes such a difference, I cannot even express how beautiful 7 pages of rhetoric on business models looks on a flat panel versus my wee laptop monitor. WOW! No more excuses not to get through the next six months of school. Which leads to my next joyous of list events I have to look forward to…..
YES, I completed my GRADUATION application and turned it into the registrar. I just have two more semesters to go = 6 months. NOW it is COUNTDOWN! Graduation Ceremony to take place in May 2008. I am estimating about 6-8 papers per month so only about 36-48 more papers to write, potentially 4 more exams, two seminars and VIOLA, I am a certified “Master of Business” although I doubt I will opening a claim to be, but hey that’s where the big bucks lie. Which leads me to…
Someday, sometime landing a job. I went through two interviews last week. The first one went well, but I wasn’t chosen amongst the “many qualified candidates that applied”. I’m still waiting to hear on the 2nd, which should be end of this week. I was the very first to interview for that, so I have that going for me at least.
Other than that, I’m just keeping my head to the grindstone. My mom went in for surgery on Monday to have her other knee replaced. She had her left knee replaced in 2005. This was a real worry for her since she relied so heavily on her right knee and now that has been replaced. This new knee is a 25 year lifer, so she is amped to get through the healing process so she can walk on the beach in Oregon, she would like to visit here in a year or two. She will be released from the hospital today.

Yes, your monitor is shiny and nice. AND, you’ve got more screen space for all the pretty Mac-ness.

Yay! Big-ass flat panel LCD monitors totally kick ass! I want a wide-screen one, but the 17″ that came with our Dell is still pretty nice.

Ugh…your first interview (not chosen amongst the “many qualified candidates that applied”) reminds me of my attempts to get into Army Flight School. I hope you at least got a phone call or something. I got a soulless telegram that said “Qualified - Not Selected”. Bleh.
