Where does the week go crazy re-Cap

funny-cap.jpgFunny, how the week flies by and before you know it it’s Sunday evening and all you want to do is sit on the couch and catch up on the movies or shows that have piled up from the week.

Well, let’s see. Tuesday, enjoyed a delicious lunnch at Pambiche with Miranda and then went on a Costco Run to pick up a few bulk items and the latest Harry Potter book for me.

Wednesday met a friend I hadn’t seen in awhile for Happy Hour. First we planned to meet at H20, Well the place was a ghost town and rather than calling unnecessary attention to ourselves I opted to have us meet at a more happening setting where one could have a cocktail while sitting outside which being only about a block away ended up being Rock Bottom. I started with a blueberry martini then moved on to enjoy a few glasses of red. Very nice evening.

Thursday - Met Miranda and Brian at Laurelthirst and laughed and cried seeing Namesake. Amazing film, if you get a chance it’ll move you far more profoundly then imagined. Then doing a complete 180 in my emotional state, met up with Ryan’s work gang at Thirsty Lion. After a pint bought by one of Ryan’s most generous co-workers headed to the Shanghai Tunnel to say Hello to kid brother in law and wish his girlfriend a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Friday - Dreaded paper day. Stuck glued to desk and laptop trying to spit out some logically organized synthesis of the Blockbuster case while answering the prof’s guiding questions. Joy. Still didn’t feel confident so I took advantage of the grace period the prof. allowed which was to turn in the paper Sunday. Thank goodness for that because Sat…

Sat. Spent time at The Oregon Brewfest. Met up with GD and B and their friends and family, it was a good time. Getting there at 12:30 is the best ever. There certainly aren’t as many people and hardly any lines at all. I just made the mistake of downing tasters too quickly and since I wasn’t hungry at the time GD and the peeps decided to eat, I was hit a bit hard by the time Ryan showed up and it was a good time to decide to leave. It seemed that the amount of people trippled in just a few minutes. Crazy. We still had tokens to use up, but the yelling started to become every 30 seconds or so, and well Ryan certainly wasn’t in the mood.

So, spent the rest of Saturday playing in front with Arthur Guinness, got a tour of our neighbors house and they have an amazing garden and so she gave me a HUGE zucchini from which I made zucchini bread on Sunday and gave her a loaf. Yum. Watched Ian on Globe trekker, he did a tour of Ireland and Ryan and I sighed and longed to go back to Ireland, the most charming country with the most amazing people.
So, despite waking up Sunday dreading facing my paper once again, I plowed on through, analyzing re-writing, synthesizing…the works.

And that’s my crazy re-cap of the week.

I agree GD!

Well B is super busy so we’ll just plan to re-schedule. I want to take her to Sapphire Hotel on 58th and Hawthorn. It’s a very cool venue! :) Another time.

Cheers.
