Home…where I wanted to go… what is home….

I love my home. What is home? I know now after 30+ years it’s where Ry and his family is and now where my kitty is.
The rain has been a babytism to remind me of how the greenery that envelopes our backyard makes it a haven away from the city. The amazing aroma of the cedar trees, rose bushes and fur, just emits a forest like atmosphere. We are an island from the hustle and bustle of the up-and-coming business that makes an urban neighborhood. I looked to The Friends of Trees, website to find a decent arborist from hedgehogtree. The representative from there was decent and honest. We learned that our wonderful and gorgeous hedging was actually Cedar trees.
Also, that the very older tree in the mid back is actually an apricot tree. Some limbs are dead. We should probably trim limbs from off of that.
So, what does the future hold. It’s been about 3 months now. I’m afraid I have grown accustomed to the wonderful jungle that has become our backyard. Yes it is a tad overgrown and our wonderful Korean dogwood is in fabulous shape along with our fur trees in front and back we couldn’t bare to do a thing right now.
Putting in a fence is arbitrary, we’ll need to work out the details with the county and with the neighbors (who is a bit eccentric) if you ask us. Gawd, we had no idea, that really landscape artisits really have no idea what they are doing. “Yes that looks fantastic”…NOW but what about in 5 years. We , the owners, have to deal with the overgrowth! Joy!
So we enjoy it for now. The precious forest like aroma…that is carried through the delicate raindrops that carry through the humid air..ah..take a deep breath..hold in ..exhale…beautiful…
