peach2-1.jpgIf I could calculate exactly how much time it takes to write these gawd aweful papers, and get paid for that time, I’d be rich.

This weekend was a pleasant respite from the usual drilling down to the core of the case study and regurgitating some meat to only re-state what the case study has already said, although it’s really not that easy.

Saturday - Had an excellent morning- regurgitating Russia’s oil and gas production market PSA’s.

Ah but soon the time came and I was destined for a nice pint or two with my dear ex-coworker/ friend A. with her sweet Shephard named Louie at Lucky Lab on Capitol. Fabulous day, fabulous beer, fabulous chat and extra fabulous doggie petting time.

Home bound - Stayed up too late fixing for my sister-in-laws baby celebration dinner with family and a few friends.

Made- Homemade potato salad (never done that before, it’s tough, but it turned out okay), made up my avocado salsa, Got meat from Gartners and threw two onions with a 4 lb. pork shoulder in the Slow cooker to cook for 10 hours. House smelled like onions and pork.. hmmm being vegetarian it didn’t smell so good to me , but Ryan was salivating, so something was good about it. Lemon Bars too, absolute must for summer is lemon bars.

Oh Yard - planted flowers, Ryan edged, trimmed, tilled and well you name it he did it. By the end he needed a beer or 5 :)

Doh- no time for paper. Ah well, I’ll hit some of it tomorrow.

Sunday- Ahhhh okay, the menu plan - make pie (blueberry/ peach pie), make brownies (not everyone likes pie), prep asparagus, corn, coleslaw ( coleslaw is a must with pulled pork) , stop at store once more for (beer, portobello mushrooms, feta, coffee (for tomorrow morning..must)…. Pulled pork duty - drain, stir add BBQ sauce and cook for another 4 hours. Ryan is really salivating by this point. Yard - Trooper Ryan, sprayed down front, spread barkdust, cleaned and sparkled the place for guests oh and vacuumed.

Paper - oh gosh, when is there time? Oh .5 hour moment…. nothing accomplished.

Guests arrive! Wonderful, fun time with good food, family (even Meldad came with Lindmom which is rare, it’s hard to get him even close to the outskirts of Multnomah county…let alone Portland.. what a trooper).

Phew- 2:16 am- needed to vent and now I need to sleep. Hope to come up with some epiphany as to the differences between the gas and oil international markets and why Shell should continue their oi/gas venture project in Russia.

Anyone… anyone?

Well….Good night. :)
