Dreaming….

So, Macbeth with Miranda was fantastic. Love all of the spitting to annunciate, it is aweful, I know there is a running joke in theatre about how much one can spit to ensure all consonants are heard precisely, but I think some actors take it to the next level, where you’d almost think there was some Copenhagen wedged in there somewhere.
After “The Scottish Play” we stopped at Maiden in the Mist. Which is apparently owned by the same people who own sapphire. I loved the red hues that came off of the ceiling fixtures and the lovely mermaids sensually displayed around the place. I had a fantastic house wine and spinach salad. Miranda, poor thing, losing her voice again had chammomile tea with a ton of added ginger along with the greek salad. Everything was delicious, it’s a cool place.
Nothing but research and paper producing this weekend. Highly stressful, what with the uncertainty of my capabilities. Ry was a sweetheart and helped me with the first half of my first draft. Amazing how what you think makes perfect sense, may not so for the reader, this is where I struggle.
Saturday night, I dreamt that I was going to school and I couldn’t get to the front door. I had to ly down and squirm up like a fish trying to get upstream. Each time I had to get to school I had to do this and at one point someone in my dream told me to act like a fish swimming upstream and that is what made it possible for me to reach the front door. I don’t know what that means literally, but figuratively, I believe that the task to obtain my way to or through school is as much as a struggle as a fish trying to swim upstream. The only thing is is that I don’t have instinct helping me make my way as the fish ultimately does.

In other words, the first half of your first draft is all about BEER and Cylons
You’ll do fine I think. Your dreams seem to suggest to me a positive outcome; you did, after all, overcome the hapless flopping at the door by learning how to move within the flow of the river, yes? I think your dream is telling you that you’re a fish, that you are perfectly capable of succeeding, you just need to adapt to the new current (you’re not at Intel anymore, you’re in school…these require different mindsets). Put down the bicycle and swim.
Maiden was started by the former owner of Sapphire, after she sold it. They’re otherwise unconnected.
Maybe you’re a mermaid
A CYLON MERMAID.
Hot.
AH, nice way of looking at it. I like it….
So Maiden is no longer tied to Sapphire… who woulda thunk.
Ah yes, I am the first of the kind…. just you wait, you never really know who is and who isn’t because, we are made now in human form… da da daaaaaaaa!
