Devoured

Well, my confidence just like the Zebra got completely devoured. I’m more than disappointed in the grade I received on my first paper to this professor. According to him my writing isn’t even close to what one should be at in a graduate level course. So, my course of action is to request a re-do. Which he allows for two papers total during this course.
I called upon others in my cohort for feedback and advice. I had a long chat this afternoon with one of them and it was helpful, although I still made similar points in my paper as they did, I will re-do and I can only hope and pray I get a much better grade the second time around.
Nevermind I still have another 100 pages of reading for the next paper due, I will have this paper to re-write as well. It’s going to be quite a weekend, let me tell you.
It’s actually a relief to have called and followed up with the company I interviewed with. The decision has been pushed out as they are still interviewing candidates. They seemed hard pressed to get someone in there, which lends me to believe that I’m not their prime candidate for the position. The VP is going on vacation and upon their return will most likely have a decision made. So, here I wait again. By this point I’m of the attitude that I didn’t get the position and will continue to embrace the internet job hunt. Other jobs I have applied have a two week waiting period for providing responses.
This only lends well to the fact that we will have house guests and thus I should be around to ensure they have a most pleasant and comfortable stay. With the amount of school to do… it is a blessing I have the time in which to focus on it and most definitely improve on my performance.
Tonight will be a nice get away with Miranda to see MacBeth at Shoebox Theatre. I’m thrilled.
