Hanging by the telephone….

Almost like Blondie’s “Hanging on the telephone”, but for me it’s more like “Hanging by the Telephone”. Will no one just call me and tell me what is going on. How long does one wait to call the interviewer to find out the status of their hiring process. I will wait until Thursday. If I don’t hear back by lunchtime, I’m calling. A girl deserves to know. Doesn’t mean I haven’t stopped pimpin out my resume. Applied for two other jobs that looked interesting…. again it’s the wait game.
Luckily I had lots of wonderful distractions this Memorial Day weekend. Aside from writing a paper and re-writing it and turning it in with the confidence of a Zebra in a field of cougars, it is another wait and see. New Professor, new potential writing expectations which is a mystery at this point in time.
Attended two delightful house warming BBQ’s. One on Sunday ending with an unexpected race against the clock to make it in time to see Arcade Fire. Luckily traffic was fairly light and the band started later than we thought. PHEW! See Ry’s Blog for more of the story. Arcade Fire is absolutely amazing. Beautiful and inspiring and just about one of the best concerts I’ve attended!
Monday - Memorial Day. Enjoyed a very nice time at JB’s housewarming. JB is a previous co-worker of Ryans and a delightful friend. She had a house swap and talk about convenient. We totally could have walked there. The Food was amazing. Of the many things she provided she had provided Constant Bliss which is one of my most favorite cheeses of all time. So incredibly smooth and creamy! You can get it at Steve’s Cheese. He usually serves it with a sparkling Prosecco which is divine. I enjoyed it with a nice hoppy IPA from Pelican Brewing, which is where JB got the keg for her party. She had ordered a Kegorator, unfortunately it was still in transit and thus didn’t make in time for the party. Didn’t mean it didn’t get wasted, that’s for sure. Ry was one to have really contributed to the cause. 
Both BBQ’s were just fun. I love the fire pit. Although running into the Schnitz to see Arcade Fire smelling of BBQ wasn’t all that appealing, I do love sitting outside around a little fire and still coming home to sleep in my bed. It’s like the feeling of camping without the hassle. Love it.
All the events and meeting new people was a great way to spend the weekend. I completely forgot all about what I was worried about.
Okay so back to telephone duty, yeehaw.
