Love of Holiday Movies includes the Tim Burton Classic “Edward Scissorhands”

I’ve always had a tender spot in my heart for Tim Burton’s projects and to that I got to enjoy one of my all time favorites, “Edward Scissorhands”.yesterday evening.. a bitter sweet tale of innocent love, betrayal, deceit and where snow comes from. I absolutely adore Danny Elfman’s score filled with delightful tings of what we come to familiarize ourselves with Christmas. At least I do. I was doing some looking on Google and would you believe that this story has now been adapted into a screenplay to tour through the U.S. in 2006? I must honestly I was delightfully intriqued and pretty surprised, since a lot of my favorite things somehow relate to theatre I only felt it appropo.
Here’s more for those of you who are as keen on Edward Scissorhands as I am.

I have to say I adore Diane Weist in this role. She is the epitomy of motherhood. So un judgemental and nurturing throughout. Nevermind that stupid Jim Character… I mean I think I was just stunned to see Anthony Michael Hall for one looking so big and buff and for two being the bully. Who would have thought. I also adore Vincent Price, as one of his last movie roles. I love it when he is teaching Edward about manners and then moves on to the poetry. So charming, sweet yet indeed sad, but now we know from where we get snow. Those ice sculptures are amazing. Just prooves you don’t have to be a chef to make them.
Happy Christmas. ![]()

Speaking of Anthony Michael Hall, I should start watching The Dead Zone again.
Speaking of Tim Burton and Christmas, I heard “Making Christmas” in the background of something on TV recently, and I think it was CBS that played “This is Halloween” during one of their bumpers for an NFL game on Halloween this year.
Whoa? That’s just crazy!!!
Yes, I too enjoy The Dead Zone and haven’t watched it in quite awhile….
