Joined the Blog Bandwagon

R., after hearing me indicate my interest in starting my own blog went ahead and set it up for me. Thank you. I originally was invited by an old friend to Live Journal. He deleted his LJ and sort of disapeared. I created this, however, after time I just didn’t know what to do with it. My friend’s LJ has been purged and deleted and I have not heard from him since. It’s so interesting how friendships come and go, with no word…. you sometimes wonder if it was you, them, some outside force…. who knows. Life must carry on and carrying on it is.

First item on my agenda is to share my poor customer service experience from a local Glass company. I just wanted to get the rock chip, yes it was bound to happen, that is in my windshield fixed, while it’s still almost microscopic versus a huge crack. I Made an appt. with a local glass company. But, heck I could get this filled for free with no damage to my insurance policy. Therefore, called insurance, made appt. The Ins. Co. glass Co. could come to my door and fix it. Hence I called the local Glass Co. I originally made the appt. with to cancel. They were pushy, rude, and wanted me to cancel with the other company and keep my appt. with them. I said no. They kept going on and on about how there is a federal law against requiring me to use the glass company my insurance company recommends. I continued to say, thank you and I didn’t know and of course I apologize, but I’m happy with how it has worked out. He then just asked for my name and hung up.

Needless to say, I being of sensitive disposition took it too personally and was almost wounded that a human being could act this way. I quickly got over it whilst on the elliptical trainer for an hour. Thank goodness R. was there to back me up and I feel all better now.

Lesson: be careful of those glass companies, for goodness sake don’t ever call and actually cancel an appt. God forbid.
